Today sees the release of Marble City Skyline, a new album of thoughtful and inspiring songs from David Clifton. Most of the songs were written in Knoxville Tennessee, and they were all completed and mixed in a studio not far from Maryville, within sight of the Great Smoky Mountains. The initial tracks were recorded with Scott Minor at his Wild Chorus studio on 5th Avenue prior to the overdubs and additional tracking sessions. For those who are wondering about the album title, Knoxville is often referred to as the Marble City because of the old marble mining and cutting industry. Marble from Knoxville has been used in many United States buildings, including Grand Central Station, New York.
“These are reflections and contemplations inspired by the journey of life, along with the ups and downs, joys and sorrows which we all inevitably experience this side of heaven.” DC
