The Beatitudes is the first single from the forthcoming album of sacred and spiritual songs by David Clifton, Songs of Light and Love. The Beatitudes are the powerful words spoken by Jesus of Nazareth to the crowds on the mountainside overlooking the Sea of Galilee over 2,000 years ago. This is modern music to illuminate an inspirational and timeless message of hope and perseverance in the face of adversity.

David Clifton plays an acoustic set for the Oxford Folk Festival on Friday the 10th April, 3:00pm to 3:45pm, at the Museum of Modern Art, 30 Pembroke Street, OX1 1BP, and The Westgate Centre, Leiden Square Courtyard, 1:15 to 2:00pm, Sunday 12th April.
On Thursday 12th March at 7pm, David Clifton is opening for the folk band Honey and the Bear, at The Unicorn Theatre, Abingdon. They are a first rate folk band, with a repertoire of vibrant songs and stories from Suffolk folklore, a mixture of original and tradition music.
