This modern setting of the inspirational words spoken by Jesus to the crowds seated on the mountainside above the Sea of Galilee 2,000 years ago is a timeless message of hope and perseverance in the face of adversity. It’s the first single from the new album of sacred music, Songs of Light and Love, by David Clifton. The project features contemporary versions of well-known scriptural and traditional texts, folk settings of poems by Cædmon and Bede for guitar and string quartet, and is scheduled for October release.
